ll profits from the awards (sponsorship, ticket sales and donations) are given to the select charities, last year we raised and donated over £10,000.
We have had the following feedback from some of the charities about how the money from previous years have made such a huge impact already for the charities by the following ways:
- Swindon 105.5 FM were desperate for funds for the necessary upgrade of equipment – which they have now been able to do.
- Cherishers have been able to offer two 12-month adult carers apprenticeship for a vulnerable adult that has been out of employment for a considerable amount of time, enabling them to expand their social care programme.
- Sue Ryder Hospice Care can pay a nurses salary for 16 days.
- Prostrate Cancer UK can continue to fund their vital research and build more awareness among men.
We would like to say a massive thank you to this year’s sponsors in not only making the award possible but also in helping us give back while rewarding and celebrating the vast successes within the region.
